I had the please of collaborating with Olga Napohaku, owner and lead bridal gown designer of Hannah Kanani Bridal.
It's always fun to collaborate with fellow creatives, and for this shoot, I wanted to highlight the bond between a bride and her maid of honor. Whether she's a best friend, a sister, or a close family member; she's by the bride's side.
This was one of the most original designs I have seen. The gown is worn as a two piece and even has pockets! I loved the lace detail incorporated into the veil and sleeves. My favorite part was probably the three-layered train our model Heather rocked.
Caitlin modeled the beautiful movement of "Falling for you Taupe Maxi Dress" from Lulus. I love how her sun-kissed, mermaid hair complimented the relaxed vibe of this session.
The white, fur stole is also a product handmade through Hannah Kanani Bridal. It's the perfect addition for your bridesmaid on a wedding day and during the reception.

Enjoy some highlights in one of my favorite locations, San Juan Capistrano!
When Celina of Celina Kenyon Photography asked me to second shoot for her at Newhall Mansion, it was an absolute yes! Newhall Mansion is special to me because it was where I shot my first wedding. Kristina and Adil's wedding day was on a warm August day, with plenty of sunshine.
The whole day was filled with the aroma and visual of lavender. Kristina's a girl after my own heart with her bridesmaids' dresses and florals color palette. The ceremony was lined with sprigs of lavender and upon the grand entrance, guests rained lavender seeds over Adil and Kristina - such a amazing moment! Tricia Dahlgren Events did a fabulous job coordinating the day!
Kristina and Adil had a traditional Danish cake. The significance to the rings stacked is when the bride and groom pull the stick out, however many rings remain is how many children they're predicted to have! Keep scrolling to see what happened at the reception!
Seems like she's all about the lucky number 4!
Jessica & Augusto had an intimate ceremony in their backyard with their immediate family and friends. I instantly felt a connection to both Jessica and Augusto when I arrived, it was like visiting close friends. Everything was full of sentiment and Jessica wore her mother's shoes in her honor.
I cannot get over how playful and sweet they were with one another - I mean their smiles say it all! There was so much love and laughter, nothing but warmth and happiness to celebrate these two and their new journey. I am so happy for them!
Two baby girls are on their way this spring! It was meant to be that sisters, Lauren and Kathryn are both expecting, AND are due just a few weeks apart.
So much love went into this celebration and the whole event felt like it was straight out of a fairy tale. The story book cookies and customized tea cup treats were so clever and tied all the details together.
I cannot wait to meet these lucky little girls!
Happy 1st Birthday Elliott! He has grown so much since our shoot at El Matador Beach last year, you can check out - here. Last time, he wasn't walking, but that's not the case anymore! He was full of squeals & loved riding on mommy's back and in daddy's arms. Malibu Creek State Park was the perfect spot for a walking 1 year old- warm, sunny and more green than I have ever seen it! It was awesome that Namu, their doggie could join too. Elliott loves his pup!
I love this family, enjoy highlights from their shoot!
I first met Krista because of the wedding industry. She is a talented Event Manager with Tricia Dahlgren Events. I was honored with she and Vlad asked me to photograph their winter wonderland wedding at Tesoro Del Valle Clubhouse in Valencia at the end of January!
Their wedding day was the weekend after a major storm, so the grounds were lush with greenery and the lake for romantics was filled to the brim. Their rainy, mountain-top engagement session in Lake Arrowhead was complete with rainbows and a special present from Vlad to Krista for her birthday. Check it out! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Negri!!
Krista and her Dad are so close, they had a first look, and it was so sweet! I love when my clients make the day special and customized.
Kelly and Rafael are good friends of mine, so I was so thankful when they asked me to commemorate them before they become parents! We were lucky to have the sun shine right as our shoot started. This was a special location for them, they had their engagement pictures taken here as well, it's a cute spot called Blaisdell Park. I was lucky enough to find out what their little one's name is before they share the news, and I can't wait to meet her in March!
These two are soulmates! Priya and Jake are both from Malaysia, but live in Southern Cali now. Get this, they're having their wedding in Malaysia!! Priya thought of this engagement shoot as "the calm before the storm" since they anticipated a few hundred guests at the destination wedding - no pressure **gulp**
Our shoot was the perfect balance of making their parents happy with formal pictures they could use for their wedding, and most importantly fun and relaxed for the three of us!
I love them both, and I am so happy for all their successes!
These two go to show you don't have to be engaged to schedule a "love" shoot!
They are clearly smitten with one another, and a bright and glowy shoot around amazing finds of Pasadena was the perfect backdrop to feature their budding romance.
We braved the cold and it was wonderful to document so many flirty giggles!
I am so happy for Ashley and Jeff! They will become parents to Baby Jackson in February. I loved meeting their two adorable pups, and when Jackson arrived, the excitement will only build!
We enjoyed a crisp, Saturday morning in apple country to capture that warm and fuzzy comfort of fall. Enjoy some highlights from their session!
This session was certainly one for the books. It was Krista's birthday, which made our date so special, but the weather gave us a run for our money! The goal was to have a mountain top engagement in Lake Arrowhead with a rich, fall backdrop.
Krista and Vlad are true romantics at heart and embraced the idea of rain and a lakeside look, and I always love an adventurous couple. It all worked out, we had our very own rainbow, and the place all to ourselves!
The rich blue of Krista's sapphire engagement ring was stunning against the damp forrest - enjoy highlights from their session.
I am very excited for their wedding in January!
I loved chasing light and creating portraits with this beautiful dancer, model, and free soul.

Theirs is a love found on the dance floor (a couple after my own heart!)
Nazaret & André live in Salt Lake City, Utah and in search of an engagement location that differed in scenery from mountains and greenery they're used to, Santa Monica fit the bill. They flew in the morning of our shoot for a beachy-keen session on the bluffs/beach in Santa Monica.
I felt so special to have had their faith in me to document their love story along the California coast.
Nazaret was such a show stopper in that red number, and André was ALL smiles the whole session...rightly so. Enjoy highlights from their saucy/salsa/sandy session!
